Grant Freels is entering his third year with the Panola Ponies. Coach Freels works with the pitchers and is in charge of recruiting. Prior to Panola, Freels served as a student assistant at Texas A&M for three years while finishing up his degree. He helped with the pitchers in 2017 as the Aggies made a run to the College World Series. 

Before Freels transferred to A&M, he pitched for two years at Tyler Junior College (2013-2014). Freels was a member of the 2014 team that won the NJCAA DIII National Championship.
