Week Five Recap: 

In Week Five of the 2024-2025 season, the Fillies capped off November play participating in the annual Budke Cerna Classic hosted at Region 14 opponent, Trinity Valley. The Fillies dished out two convincing wins against Ranger and Hinds Community Colleges, moving to 5-3 on the season.

The 

Budke Cerna Classic Game 1: Panola College vs. Ranger Community College

Final score of 73-56.

Game Highlights:

  • Awa Fane led with 16 points, 7 assists and 5 rebounds.

  • Madison Caldwell had a breakout performance with 13 points and 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.

  • Shaine Parker added 10 points and 5 rebounds.

Budke Cerna Classic Game 2: Panola College vs. Hinds Community College

Final score of 74-59.

Game Highlights:

  • Awa Fane led with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists.

  • Hannah Carr added energy off the bench with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists.

  • Shaine Parker had another double-double night with 14 points, 10 rebounds along with 3 blocks.

The Fillies get ready for a big week of basketball starting with a double-header game vs. Hill College at 5:30pm this Wednesday in a double-header event in Arthur Johnson Gymnasium; as well as another home match vs. No. 10 McLennan on Saturday for a 2:00pm tip off.
